I have some homemade veggie beef soup cooking on the stove and this apartment smells so good! I am so ready to eat!!
Scott received an e-mail from Lexmark yesterday stating that he should be receiving a phone call within the next two weeks for an interview!! Lexmark is a pretty big deal and to get a job there is amazing! They don’t hire often. He would be in Printer Diagnostics which is more up his alley than anything else that he has done! He is also wanting to go back to school to finish and this job would allow him to do so! We are just waiting to hear from them to see how things will go!
My mom called me yesterday to let me know that we are going to have a family get together next Sunday for my step-dad. Everyone is coming in. It is going to be great to see everyone and be able to spend time with the family. I hate that it is such a somber occasion, but it is something my step-dad wants.
I may be using this word incorrectly, and forgive me if I am… but it’s kind of surreal, maybe even nerve wracking. Every time my mom calls, my nerves are shot thinking that this is the day she calls to let me know that he didn’t wake up or that he passed away. We have been preparing for a while now, but I don’t think anything can really prepare you for death. It’s a part of life that we all have to go through. It just sucks. I believe I am repeating myself again, but it helps to write it all down.
Anywho, I hope everyone is having a great weekend :)
