Honestly, it really is the little things that make my day. I got to spend some much needed time with my mom, step-dad, and little sister Monday night. I spent a little over 3 hours with them and it felt really awesome. My step-dad was in good spirits! Yesterday was actually my mom and step-dad’s 18th wedding anniversary and his birthday is coming up on Friday. I can’t tell you how tickled I am that he has made it this long. It was extra special for my mom and I am beaming with joy :) 

 Driving home from my mom’s tonight was really therapeutic. It felt great getting out of the house and driving around. I ended up turning on Nickel Creek and singing along with harmonies and felt so good about it. I then got to thinking about my guitar and how she has been sitting in my closet instead of being played and it made me incredibly sad. I really need to start picking it up again. Scott starts working again on the 24th and I will Sunday and Monday nights to myself. That is more than enough time to brush up on my guitar/mandolin stuffs and get to cracking again. If you don’t use it, you loose it… and this gal doesn’t want to loose it.

 I also had a great conversation with a friend from work this morning that I really hadn’t had a chance to get to know as well as I would like to. I am super surprised at how insightful this person is and I look forward to getting to know them better!

 I have also decided that I am going to start either a weekly/bi-weekly table top game night. I threw it out there for people who live around here that I work with as well as some of Scott’s friends. I am going to see how much interest I get in it and go from there. Scott is super on board! He grew up playing Dungeons and Dragons and is itching to play again. I never got to play, but I am actually really excited to get this up and going. Scott and I are such homebodies and this will get us more involved with people and friends :)
